Hello,

  a bit about me:

I have been researching genealogy for 18 years, using online records, parish records, and many other sources.  As a registrar for 10 years, I ran a busy certificates office looking for records for other people working on their family history.  I have experience in finding information in the National Archives and local record offices, locating military service records, searching newspaper archives and other resources.

When you spend time with your extended family at get-togethers, conversation may come round to family stories.  Do you remember Uncle Albert, and how he always had to have the wishbone from the turkey?  Aunt Mabel with her stripy socks and her recipe for the best ever sausage rolls?  What happened to Uncle Ernest after the war?  Nobody knows, he just vanished!

You may have already started on your family history.  You know Great Grandad Arthur was born in 1908 in Liverpool, that he married Ada in 1929 and died in 1962.  But what was he really like?  Who was the man behind the name?

Do you want more from your family history than born, married, died?  If there are stories to tell about your ancestors, I can find them for you.  If Uncle Reg was fined for cycling without lights – I’ll find it.  If Great Uncle Charlie had a habit of tying up his horse outside the local hostelry and leaving it there, if it was reported in the local paper – I’ll find it.  Aunty Lou said she was once carnival queen – let’s check it out.
